Take Two

Wow…it has been awhile since I visited this space.

How I’ve missed the reflection, the connection, the sharing of the struggle and journey. The progress of forward steps has not been great…if anything there has been significant regression and regret. And as a result of such absence there has been much collective loss, grief, wandering and an overall unsettledness that manifests in so many other ways and manners of being and doing that aren’t always beneficial.

But there is still today…

When I came across this November 2015 WW magazine, as I was trying to make room for holiday decorations and the season arising, I opened to this picture. Reminding me of irreplaceable dreams, hard truths and endless fights for what is better, what is good, what is right and what is true. What really matters. The good fight. The ins and outs of caring, connecting and being present. Finding joy and walking in love. Despite the circumstances, despite the losses, despite the questions and how long and how much and what for?

So we journey on…

In the deciding and readying up, I turned my blog back on. I will commit to speak to the struggle I live, know, see and experience in the showing up and staying present. Part of that answer for me in the living and being is feeding those places of joy. Giving room and space for what makes your heart sing.

Shaking off the slumping and uninspired…

In coming up for air, getting back to weekly weigh-ins, accountability and sharing the struggle…in the name of connection. I’d like to kick off the holiday season with heart singing moments of holiday movie quotes to propel us forward in the choosing life, believing better, staying present and living full and free journey.

“Hey. Hey you. And YOU are more normal than any other asshole sitting at this table. Ok? Ok. I need a fork.” -The Family Stone

When those incessant nabbing and jabbing questions, doubts, eye-rolling and scowls of the what the?? Come over us during this season…may we remember our “normal-ness” in sharing this human experience together.

“Don’t ruin the best thing in your life because you’re a little unsure about who you are.” -The Family Man

May we stay present, rooted and grounded to love, to what is best, what makes us unique, secure, individual expressions of love and light and grace meant to be known and shared. May we recognize those we get to journey with and stay committed to making the most of each and every gifted moment.

“Do you really think it matters Eddie” -National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

Cheers to focusing on what really matters and having the grace to let the rest go.

I look forward to hearing about your favorite holiday movie quotes!! Please share…as I keep learning we are really in this together and none of us have to trek the terraces of life and living alone! Hope inspires hope…Love inspires love…life inspires living!

“The only truth I know is you…
There but for the grace of You go I” -Simon and Garfunkle

Love and Hugs,
